Surprise at our SB Mentorship Mixer

Recently, Jamal stepped into a space once held by someone who changed lives, and he did it with the same name, the same spark and the same Self Belief we work to nurture every day.

In honour of our mentoring programme, we held the first Self Belief Chelsea FC seat raffle for our amazing young people. By recognising those who had been consistently showing up and engaging, we wanted to involve them in a prize not only connected to Jamal Edwards, but also carrying a beautiful and symbolic significance for the Trust. Jamal’s Westside seat carries a story and a spirit that continue to guide everything we do, with that legacy living on through the young people, loved ones and communities it continues to reach.

With 31 names and only one winner, it was Jamal’s name that was drawn – a remarkable coincidence that became a reminder of how Jamal Edwards’ love and presence continue to make a positive difference, radiating through his loved ones and everyone carrying his dreams forward.

Bringing these opportunities and experiences to life has always been the driving force behind encouraging our young people and keeping the spirit of Self-Belief alive. Legacy isn’t just remembered; it’s lived, continuing through love, meaning and compassion, and through every opportunity that carries Jamal’s vision into the lives of another generation.
