Self Belief Session with Deborah Ababio empowers 18-25 year olds to ‘Find Your People’

On 19th June, JESB hosted a Self Belief Session titled ‘Finding Your People’, led by Deborah Ababio, former Global Entertainment Director at British Vogue and founder of AD Curated Agency, whose clients include none other than Tina Knowles (yes, Beyoncé’s mum!).

The podcast-style session focused on Networking and Relationship Building, equipping 18 to 25 year old attendees with practical tools to grow their professional network. With just 31 spaces available, the session helped participants learn how to:

• Craft confident and impactful self-introductions
• Build authentic, lasting connections
• Follow up professionally without feeling pushy
• Nurture long-term relationships that create real opportunities

One attendee said “I came because I wanted a different experience to learn and grow a network… but what I learned the most… push through that fear and just keep going no matter what.”

This session was part of JESB’s Self Belief Launch Pad programme, designed to unlock purpose through Self Belief in 18-25 year olds facing barriers to employment. Thank you to Deborah for being part of this Session.
