Our first Self Belief Open Day, hosted at Google!

We kicked off our brand new Self Belief Open Day series at Google UK.

On Monday 3rd February 2025, 31 young people aged 18 to 25 with barriers to employment joined JESB at Google’s Central London office for an afternoon of insight, inspiration, and opportunity. This pilot event was designed to create access and entry to the digital world, giving attendees an exclusive behind the scenes look at one of the world’s most influential companies.

Throughout the day, Googlers from across the business shared their career journeys, spoke about their roles, and offered advice on navigating the world of work. A key highlight was an in-depth look at Google’s apprenticeship programme, tailored specifically for early-career talent from all backgrounds.
Attendees also got to explore the iconic Google offices, connect with peers from the #GenSB community and receive valuable tips for future applications and interviews.

We are grateful to the Google team for helping us launch the Self Belief Open Day series in style – and to every young person who showed up with purpose and Self Belief… Some from as far as Newcastle!
